Paper Abstract:
|
DevOps (Development Operations) is a culture that emphasizes collaboration and communications between developers and IT professionals. While it seems that these two professional groups should always communicate with each other and have common goals, this is not always the case. Often the cultures of software development and IT operations seem to conflict and are often not complementary. This phenomenon adversely affects continuous delivery of software and vibrant IT operations. With the emergence of new or improved methodologies, tools, and standards, basic workplace communications and a common vision need to be shared equally by developers and IT professionals. DevOps is a movement that purports to embrace divergent interests. |
